Nestled atop the serene Maninag Hill in Ranapur, Nayagarh, the Mani Nageswari Temple (also known as Maa Maninaga Temple) stands as a revered Shakti Peetha and a testament to Odisha's rich spiritual heritage. Approximately 28 km from Nayagarh Town, this temple attracts devotees and tourists alike with its divine ambiance and panoramic vistas.

Constructed between 1328 and 1364 AD by Lord Uddhav Singh, the temple's architecture reflects the devotion and craftsmanship of its era. The sacred hill also houses two other shrines: Tala Maninag at the foothills and Upar Maninag at the summit, each offering unique spiritual experiences.

How to Reach

From Bhubaneswar: Travel approximately 70 km via NH 16 to reach Rajsunakhala, then proceed to Ranapur.

From Nayagarh: Two routes are available: via New Jagannath Road (35 km) or via Rajsunakhala (41 km).

The nearest railway station is Nayagarh, about 32 km away, and the closest airport is Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, approximately 70 km from the temple.

Road Conditions: The ascent involves narrow, winding roads with over 15 hairpin bends. It's advisable to hire local cabs experienced in navigating these terrains.

Amenities: Limited facilities are available at the summit; it's recommended to carry essentials like water and snacks.
