Egg shells

I was in 7th standard back then. Crafts period in our school used to be the most favourite of all. I not only enjoyed making crafts but I felt a new world into them.. even years later , I am inclined towards crafts..

A Competition in Our School

Once, there was a competition in my school. You were supposed to make crafts from waste items or recycled items from home.

I came back from school.

I was jumping in full excitement.

"Mom! You know what we a crafts competition in school. We have to make things from recycled items.." said I.

My mother suggested me few things.

I was not at all convinced.

"Mom, can you be little more innovative.", I said.

"Anu, you do yourself. You never like my ideas", my mom replied. She was little disappointed.

So finally mom discovered an egg shell family concept. Infact, I loved it too.

"Ok done Mom! We will make this tomorrow. I was very excited. I seriously wanted to win since I loved crafts.."

School Next Day

Everybody looked excited. Some were cutting their colourful papers. Some were engaged in Snow man out of Cotton balls.

It was indeed lovely to see such sight.

Everybody trying unique ideas out of the waste things available at home.

Riddhi was always jealous of me.

She stood second in the class. And I was always first.

So what she did that day, was the most unexpected thing.

I went to the water tank to bring some water for my paint colours. Actually, we all students now and then used to move to the water tank. We used to gossip over there. Then we came to the class.

When, I came back. I stood shocked. Riddhi was smiling. She was sitting on my bench.

The eggs shells were broken. I shed a ear drop.

"Riddhi, why did you do this?", I asked.

"So that you can't win", she replied.

I can complaint teacher about you.

She said sure. She was not at all afraid

Countdown Begins

Hours passed by. Now the announcement of winners awaited.

I was praying to God. But I knew that I am not gonna win.

Rahul was second runner up.

Riddhi was announced to be the first runner up.

Then much to our Surprise, I was announced to be the winner.

I went to the stage to pick up my award. And I said there,

No Matter what! If you aim at something , you will make it to the final. Even after the resources are broken,. You need to continue to dream until you make it happen...."

Even Upto this day

I make this amazing crafts

I made this windmills of sticks, down below, you can see this...
